Reynolds Electric Co., Inc was established in 1936 by Franklin Reynolds and his son, William V. Reynolds. Their goal was to offer quality electrical service to the greater Lima area. Over the past 71 years, Reynolds Electric achieved that goal and grew into one of the most well respected electrical contractors in the region.

 

Michael A. Gossard, a veteran in the electrical contracting industry, became the company’s president in 1999 following 13-year tenure at a major electrical construction company serving in various roles of leadership.

 

Holding fast to the original goal of the Reynolds family, our electrical construction company has grown and diversified to meet the expectations of our current customers for timeliness, quality, and value. Our “Partners In Quality” approach in all that we do requires our staff to meet the needs of our customer by being a safe, reliable, and a value added electrical solution. 

 

Our firm’s strength & growth lies in the strong relationships which we have built with customers and having “a do whatever it takes attitude” in serving them to meet their needs and expectations. As a result, our company & our customer base have steadily grown to consist of commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial clients.

 

Our firm’s depth of experience encompasses hospitals, public & private schools, universities and colleges, industrial facilities, shopping centers, and recreational facilities. We have invested in ourselves to continually expand our technical capabilities. As a result, we now offer a full staff to meet the demands of our customer’s requirements for the Special Systems that interact with the normal electrical power systems.

 

These Systems include Fire Alarm, Security Alarm and Camera Surveillance, Access Control Systems, Wired & Wireless Data transmission systems including CAT 6 cable & Fiber optic design, installation, & certification, Nurse Call, and Public Address Systems. We also are dealers for Digital and Analog telephone systems.

 

Our staff includes the sales, support, and engineering components to offer the customer a complete design & build project development if they so desire for all electrical construction, renovation, or maintenance needs.

 

We are a full service, 24 hour a day, Electrical and Technology System Service center. Our expert staff is trained and equipped to meet the requirements of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sites any time, all the time.

 

Our most recent addition is the development of a full-time Information Technology Department. The goal with this addition is to not only keep pace with the continued advancements in the integration of IP technology and electrical systems, but also offer the customer a “One Stop Shop” for all wired & wireless power, data, hardware, and software integration needs.

 

Supporting the steady growth of Reynolds’s Digital & Electric are our 60 plus electricians, and our 10 plus data / phone technicians. All are trained per the requirements of the State of Ohio, completing the inside wireman or Voice – Data – Video apprenticeship training programs and then using continuing education requirements to become certified with OSHA 10 Hour, OSHA 30 Hour training, Fall protection and man lift training, and NFPA 70E Arc Flash training.

Two week look aheads have refined the short interval scheduling procedure leading to on-time completion of tasks and goals. A zero punch list procedure ensures customers of quality of our product. Customer communication is the highest priority for the customer satisfaction team. These initiatives are just one measure of the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction through operational excellence.

 

More importantly, our Safety record has continued to be one of the best in our industry. Our Zero Accident Program (ZAP) has recorded substantial savings in Workers Compensation premiums and lost time incidents.
